3 more famous celebrities in crypto
if you think that there are only a few famous people that are entering the crypto space, then you are dead wrong. what was once a niche topic has become the focus of many celebrities today, but who are they and why are they into it?
These days it is ever increasingly harder to deny the value and worth of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. For some this field is a new area for them to venture in to because they see the amazing potential and opportunities, but some of your favorite celebrities have been in the crypto space longer than others. They are all aiding crypto in becoming a well known and suitable payment option that could one day be the norm.
Mel B
Similar to artists like Snoop Dogg, Mel B was one of the first few celebrities to sell her music for Bitcoin. The Spice Girl saw the cryptocurrency as a way to "unite" her fans. Soon enough she began to sell her single "For Once In My Life" in exchange for Bitcoin.
"I love how new technology makes our lives easier, and to me that's exciting. Bitcoin unites my fans around the world using one currency. They can just pay using Bitcoins!"
She worked with a company called Cloud Hashing to get the transaction process up and running, but today that company seems to be either dead or dormant. Either way, her decision to delve into the crypto space came at a perfect time and allowed for millions of her fans around the world to be introduced to Bitcoin.
Logan Paul
At the young age of 22 in 2017, Logan Paul made it known to his financial advisors that he is interested in investing in Bitcoin. They told him no because it seemed too volatile and risky. Understandably, Logan Paul was fairly upset with his financial advisors and eventually bought into Bitcoin for thousands of dollars more than he could have.
Fast forward to today and eldest Paul brother has began to make a name for himself in the crypto space. He has played a huge role in developing the Dink Donk token and today he is working on his new NFT project called CryptoZoo. In Logan Paul's perfect world, CryptoZoo could be one of the biggest things to get kids interested in NFTs similar to the way they are Pokemon cards. It is an autonomous ecosystem where people can buy, sell, and trade exotic animal hybrid NFTs.

He said in his podcast, Impaulsive, "As a person who understands the NFT space enough to know what works, what people want, and what they’re looking for, I think my game is going to make some waves, so stay on the lookout."
Logan Paul has always been a huge collector and has loved trading games since he was a kid. Imagine his excitement when he put his CryptoPunk #2294 NFT for sale on the OpenSea Market Place and got a bid for $630,000. Actually, you don't have to imagine it. Check out the tweet below and see the huge gains Logan Paul may or may not have made.
Elon Musk
Elon Musk actually deserves his own post when it comes to how much any one celebrity is involved in and has an affect on the crypto space. Elon has been responsible for shifts in entire crypto markets time and time again. People tend to follow Elon's best judgement regarding all things crypto regardless of where it may take them. This is why his appearance on Saturday Night Live and countless tweets about Dogecoin allowed the coin to spike up to the unimaginable price of $0.74.

Looking past the affect he has with his tweets and appearances in the media, the billionaire used one of his companies, Tesla, and its influence to drastically affect Bitcoin. As you may or may not know, Elon Musk makes sustainability an important aspect of his work to remain eco-friendly and to ensure that his businesses will work to making the Earth better, not worse. He noticed the huge problems that come with Bitcoin mining in terms of our environment and pollution. You can read all about it in the tweet below, but long story short is that Tesla will not accept Bitcoin as payment until Bitcoin trading and mining is done in a way that does not come at the cost of our environment.
At first glance this could make some Bitcoin lovers cringe, but when you really peel back the layers of what this means then you can start to see where his logic comes from. As a matter of fact this is better for the price of Bitcoin long term because it incentivizes miners to come up with fuel efficient, and therefore more costly ways of mining. When the cost of mining is higher, then the price of a single Bitcoin rises. This is simple tokenomics and Elon Musk knows that in making this bold move for Tesla, he is actually working to make Bitcoin much greater than what it is now.
At one point in February Tesla had invested $1.5 billion into Bitcoin. Today their investment is worth well over $2.5 billion.
There are tons of celebrities out there who are venturing into the crypto space for all sorts of reasons. If you'd like to join them and invest in crypto yourself, check out Coinbase. It is, in my opinion, the simplest and most user friendly cryptocurrency exchange and wallet.
